Happy 48th Anniversary Party!

The Center will be 48 years old, and we will celebrate with a party on Friday, Dec. 4, with drinks and Hors d'Oeuvres, music and dancing. Join us from 7:30 - 9:30 pm at the Ypsilanti Senior/Community Center, on Friday Dec. 4, 2009. Tickets are just $4 each for this festive event, available at the Center, 483-5014.

Art in the Park - Saturday Nov. 14, 2009

It was wonderful! 30 independent artists showcased their talent at the first annual Art in the Park fundraiser at the Center in Recreation Park. Ruth Marks from FLY Art Center hosted free activities for kids, and there was a GREAT raffle for wonderful art, generusly donated by a number of our vendors. It was a great way to get some early holiday shopping done, and shop local, too! Plan on next year, too!

Qulit Raffle 2009

What a success! -- we had three lucky winners of our quilts at the Heritage Festival in August. Our Saturday Gone to Pieces Gang of quilters is already working on next year's quilt! The Center has to raise almost all of its $50,000+ annual operating budget, and this is a beautiful way - thanks to some of the talented quilters who use the Center - to help support the Center.

Corn Roast -- an annual community event!

We had a great time at the Aug. 1, 2009, annual Corn Roast Dinner. Thanks to everyone who helped out, and to all of our guests, including special friends Congressman John Dingell and Debbie Dingell. This was a great way to support the Center and get a good meal, fresh-picked corn and camaraderie as well. See you next year!
